Clayton wasn't the problem. Screaming Neil wasn't the problem (he was A problem, but not THE problem). WNYW was much, much, much worse off before their arrival (remember Susan Sullivan and Mike Wach and Kate Kelleher??? PuhLEEZE.)
Clayton did his best. It didn't work out. But he and his team at least improved the product. |

...MONEY! If they gave Matthews the budget a "flagship station" in the #1 market needed to operate the shows (all) would greatly improve. They have a lot of quality people behind the scenes and in front of the camera, they just need more!
