In Reply To: I worked at a station in Kansas more than 15 years ago and we had 2 of the crappiest news vehicles EVER. One was a 2-door 4-cylinder 1987 Chevy Cavalier hatchback that only worked when we remembered to feed the hamster on the treadmill under the hood. The other was a Ford Bronco microwave truck that broke down so frequently that we sometimes had to TOW it to live shots. (Hey, at least the mast still worked.) You can't imagine how embarrassed we were when our LIVE EYE truck showed up at breaking news hitched to the back of a AAA wrecker. Those were the days!
Message: The old Jeep Cherokees aren't as big, and ride rougher, but we got 200k out of them too. Too bad they stopped making them. We bought 3 1999 Chevy Blazers, never could get more than 40k miles out of an engine or trannie on them. Thank go they're gone.
