Is he the same one? Gee, that's great that he brings coffee to breaking news scene (like all GM's should)...I don't hate him--I've never even worked for him. But, if you like your GM simply because he comes to news events with coffee--you might have your head screwed on a tad crooked. He must not have much work to do in HIS office. It sound from News Blues like he fired a very good News Director. Hmmmm....Very demanding and hands-on...and brings coffee to news stories? Sounds like a GM with too much time on his hands, or a micro-manager that might be a pretty good waiter. When you get some REAL management, give the rest of the broadcast world a call. Boy, that would fly in Detroit..."Here's your coffee, I'll run camera, by the way no one's doing MY job right now." Get a clue, your GM's days are numbered. |

how you can take one line out of somebody's description of a person and come up with an entire paragraph that sums up not only Land's work ethic, but the mental health of the poster. You've even been able to extrapolate another possible career for Land based on a comment that he once cared enough about his people to bring them coffee. Eric will love you, with all that creativity just waiting to burst out.
In fact, you strike me as one who already has such a grasp of the business, you won't even need a GM. Oh. Good luck; me thinks you'll need it.
