He's a fun guy if he likes you, and he likes you if you hustle and do a good job.
He is demanding and very hands-on, but I enjoyed working for him. |

Is he the same one? Gee, that's great that he brings coffee to breaking news scene (like all GM's should)...I don't hate him--I've never even worked for him. But, if you like your GM simply because he comes to news events with coffee--you might have your head screwed on a tad crooked. He must not have much work to do in HIS office. It sound from News Blues like he fired a very good News Director. Hmmmm....Very demanding and hands-on...and brings coffee to news stories? Sounds like a GM with too much time on his hands, or a micro-manager that might be a pretty good waiter. When you get some REAL management, give the rest of the broadcast world a call. Boy, that would fly in Detroit..."Here's your coffee, I'll run camera, by the way no one's doing MY job right now." Get a clue, your GM's days are numbered.
