it takes awhile to get a union vote passed - it was in the works when the suits were there and was certainly warranted. Good job all, and good luck. |

the "brethren" should have realized the opportunity had come and gone.
I went through EXACTLY the same thing 10 years ago. after almost two years of negotiating, the union finally brought us a 2.5% raise. and no concessions from the new management on anything else.
when you figure in the dues, and the years with no raises while they bargained, we were losing money.
employees voted to abandon collective bargaining and sued for their dues back.
