The problem with WNYW is that they will never spend the money to do things the right way.
Oh, sure they'll drop a small fortune on some one like Ernie; but you're talking about a place that can't afford to put paper cups at the water fountain. Reporters can't take cabs anywhere, they've been asked to hop on the subway.
The live trucks are stuck together with gum and bandaids. Every live shot is a potential disaster.
Morning meetings consist of going through the newspapers; yesterdays stories re-worked for today.
Most reporters do not even arrive until 2pm, for 5pm live shots.
An absolute ABORTION.
So the ND is out. Big deal. He'll just be replaced with another guy that has absolutely no power to spend money.
Some guy up in finance runs that place. The paper cup genius. |

The guy is a sweetie, but, no news judgement at all.
Many of the people have no experience at any other station, crucial if you're working in a #1 market.
All the females hired happen to be under 30, and exceptionally good-looking.
Thankfully, screaming Neil and Filona are gone, but, the place is a disgruntled mess.
Almost as bad as working for wnbc.
