But unless you have a terribly adversarial relationship with your writers, you should be able to make constructive changes without a problem. |

is always the final style editor..
and the reporter/writer is the final content editor.
But both should work together.
If the writer producer is not writing in the style of the anchor...
that's the writers fault.
On issues of content, anchors need to check with the reporter or writer to clarify content or context.
Both are critical.
