Stumbled across "Times Seven" on the Discovery Times Channel was impressed by how classy and well produced this program is. It is a real treat to find a long-form topical news program that does not present 'Runaway Bride' trash, or :15 soundbites for morons. Obviously they are appealing to the literate audience of the Times, however I am most amazed that they are applying a formula that sets them apart.
Putting REAL JOURNALISTS; newspaper writers, in front of the camera is very pleasing and the tone is different than anything I have seen. The camerawork is impressive, it's edited nicely and has
a beautiful graphics package and set.
I should have known that this was produced 'elsewhere' and when the CBC credit came on at the end, I was not surprised, but very disappointed - WHY MUST WE IMPORT ANY GOOD TRUTHFUL NEWS IN THIS COUNTY. IT'S AN EMBARASSMENT WHAT THE FOURTH ESTATE HAS BECOME.
