...as a reporter in the heartland, and one who's tried to cover ag issues, I can tell you unless you're a full-time ag reporter, these stories are a lot harder to cover than you think.
Sure you lay out your argument for us -- but, as others have pointed out, getting the proof (and the video to match) is a lot harder than you might think. Finding farmers to blast something like this, even harder.
While most of America would like to think of farmers and the ag business as a bunch of backwards country bumpkins, they and it are far from. It's HUGE, with issues intertwined that make it even more difficult to understand. Again, unless you're an expert in the field, covering this story on a local level is almost too much.
