here's my question with this story... how can local news cover something like this?
short of being on the east coast and attending the meeting where objections to genetically enhanced products were raised, do we go out to a field where kraft is growing corn, do we go into a lab they run for testing? how do you "prove" the accusations made?
and shouldn't we also cover the kraft efforts at organic products? or do we just cover the "sexy" bad news??? Sorry "howitshouldbe"... you don't seem interested in a fair story, but one that brings down the evil empire....
i mean no disrespect here, but this would be tough and expensive at the local level... and i would add print could do this story easier in that they don't have to have video of genetic alterations to cover their words... some stories work better in print...
i'm sure there's plenty here to piss off several people, and go ahead start throwing stones that a "real" reporter could do it if they tried... but my point is, i don't think "we have all failed" by not covering this as a MONSTER story... even though it likely will become one....
