Not wild about any station here. but WSB seems to phone it in and be heavy on crime. I don't watch Fox just because I never really think to and because their weather guy is SO used car salesman-y. WGCL? Um, that answers itself. So it's WXIA out of default.
I agree that they need a makeover badly -- the whole town's news operations do == the look, the promotion, some talent. And an infusion of energy (which I think Walt Maciborski brings to the table).
Atlanta news all just looks TIRED to me... |

I grew up here watching the news..but I've worked all over the country in this business.
So I know this city is tired and old especially when you compare it to other cities doing news.
I mean I know WSB is solid..but sometimes when I watch Richard Belcher fill in for John..I'm thinking..can this get excited about anything? Damn he's boring.
The market as a whole is almost that boring. It does need new blood.
