you obviously missed her attribution of "the day the music died" to baby boomers upet with the change.
she said in her tag she couldn't get the other side on camera, but some young people told her they were quite happy with the change. listen to the WHOLE report, not part of it. |

of a reasearch-driven decision. Infinity mgmt. fails to understand that radio is a niche product and there is certainly room in the biggest market for an oldies station. If the station wasn't making enough $$, that's a management and marketing problem, not a reason to change formats. Keep the old format and figure out how to make it work, fools! Also, New York is a media market like no other. This formulaic "Jack" non-format is doomed to failure in the Big Apple.
