It seems to me that people talk about this girl not in terms of "Poor, beatiful, young girl", but more along the lines of "Stupid B---h".
Without knowing any of the facts surrounding her disappearance, people just say she got drunk and fell in with the wrong crowd. They laugh at her misfortune, as if somehow she was "asking for it".
I don't think it's racist. I think people would really feel sorry if this happened to a black girl. People just want to laugh at her, but can't do it openly because that would be in poor taste. |

I haven't found anyone in our shop who thinks this is funny.
