You make some good points and raise interesting questions. As far as the FBI investigation, who says they are not in Afghanistan just because they are in Aruba? It's the media coverage that should be called into question, not the government agency there doing the job its given. |

To answer some questions. According to sources, YES it was a chaporoned event. Tens of thousands of kids go on class trips each year. The FBI is involved because whenever there is a murder or suspected murder that has proof of crossing a state line, the FBI then also gains jurisdiction -- this also applies to foreign countries. She is a missing American citizen -- period. She disappeared without a trace. Where she disappeared from was not an isolated, dark alley. It was a club with lots of people around. To me, it is scary no one saw anything unusual happen.
