How in the world can the numbers be so divergent with HH? In our market, the number one station is dominant. It triples the nearest competitor in overnight traditional HH ratings. When you put those same numbers up against the new people meters, that number one station is suddenly losing. I can understand some realignment with the new measurement method, but going from a 6.5 on a particular show to a 2.3? (these ratings are from the exact same day - just using two different methods) That's ridiculous. Either something is wrong with the old system or the new system is flawed. There is no way following the exact same shows, quarter hour by quarter hour, that the two systems can be so far off from each other.
Anyone else seeing this in their market? |

It's obvious the people meter methodology is flawed. Many properties are going to find themselves suddenly rendered also rans of we go to this system.
