"F--- the press! F--- the press! Whores! Whores!" they screamed in unison Thursday as a line of carefully coiffed TV reporters struggled to complete their morning live shots.
"Reporters call him Wacko Jacko," sniffed Peter Scott, 29, of London. "We can't understand why he isn't getting the respect he deserves. He's helped more people than any other celebrity ever has."
Over his jeans Scott was wearing giant fake buttocks painted with the words "Tom Sneddon can kiss my ass" - referring to the prosecutor in this case.
Scott was one of about 200 fans gathered outside a chain-link fence ringing the courthouse to chant, sing and hurl epithets in support of Jackson. They scream hysterically and clutch one another when Jackson goes by briefly, but spend the majority of their days taunting the press.
