How come millions of black kids are dying in Africa and we would not help. If blonde kids were dying in Africa we would have been there yesterday. |

I think most of you are missing the point. I don't think it is racist or bigoted to point out a matter of perception. To a person of color who watches the news, there DOES seem to be an over-emphasis on this particular story. And when you see that the majority of news anchors are white, most of the writers, producers and news executives are white....there is a difference in how some stories are covered over others. This is not the first story where this issues has come up. Not only does it come secretly in newsrooms, but in the general public...among african-americans particularly. It may not be intentional, but the perception is real.
