What is pathetic to me is that you people will sit on this board and trash talk NBC-17 along with many other stations.
How is it that a message asking for ratings turns into Fake Information being put out to the public?
That station has come leaps and bounds in the past few years!
The presentation they do now is much better than it was 5 years ago.
In the past few years they have gotten new management who are some of the best there are in the business.
Take the ND. She has been in TV for over 20 years and is respected around the country for her management. The deuce at the shop is also a highly educated person who knows how to take small steps to success.
The fact is that NBC17 beat out WTVD on at least a half dozen key nights in this past book, despite that network NBC ratings were down! Did anyone look into the day-to-day numbers of the market? Or just reporting the overall #'s which give you all the chance to station bash again?
If you were to look at the trends for the stations, WTVD is down year to year for the past 2 years, not to mention down from February and November. That is despite that they are breaking news oriented.
NBC-17 is up from year to year and from previous book.
Several people have told me that NBC-17 has been doing a lot more in the way of exclusive reporting.
No newsroom is perfect. People in the business know that going into it.
So stop the station bashing on this board.
If you've got constructive comments, that's one thing. But otherwise shut your mouth!
What is that NBC-17 does that you seemingly have such angst for? Or are you merely operating and reacting on people's impressions of the station from previous posts?
I have a lot of respect for journalists. It's idiots like you all, that make me sick!

No one trashed anyone or anything,,,,,just asking questions,,,,,,,,and what's this "fake information?" Numbers don't lie, dork. WNCN's numbers are not good and have never been good you can shout all you want about beating the ABC afil on this night or that night (they kick your a$$ in the ratings BTW)......So you shut your mouth.
