come ON folks.
this is a great story.
very important.
who cares about anything else....this will drive ratings. we can't let the competition cover this story non stop ...we'll lose all our viewers....
we're not devoting an inordinate amount of time to a meaningless story. don't people have a right to know when teenagers go missing while on field trips. this is every mother's worst nightmare.

Regardless of whether there is institutional racism in this regard, this still is a big story and one which should be covered. As for the idea that the FBI should stop looking for this girl and go to Afghanistan to look for Bin Laden, well that's not the job of the FBI, the military and CIA are working on that. Besides, why don't we just stop pulling over speeders, stop writing parking tickets, stop providing escorts for funeral processions and send all those people to Afghanistan to look for Bin Laden. stupid? Of course it is. So, get over it and the next time a young African-American or Latina woman goes missing put the story in your show or encourage your producers to do so.
