Shut up and stop playing the victim. You cannot say the FBI would not be involved if this girl were black. As for preferential news coverage because she is white? I agree on some level. And that is shameful. But this is not 1950's America. Things are a hell of a lot better as far as coverage of blacks is concerned. Is it a level playing field here in 2005? Perhaps not. But it's damn close. There are injustices everywhere in America. And plenty go against white America ie, affirmative, the race card, etc). And by the way, blacks make up 16 just percent of America. It just stands to reason that far more "blond white girls" will go missing than black girls. So I am sure it seems like the "injustice" is far greater than it is. |

i wouldn't say "racism" is going on here.. it's not getting that deep.
we're just pointing out america's facination of the "pretty all- american-white girl." even if it was a white teenage boy, i don't think there would be all this coverage..i'm watching msnbc right now, and there were 4 cut ins just in the last 30 minutes on this case.
