You're nuts. Traveling is not a priveledge, it's work. I know it's part of my job, and I expect to be paid for my work.
Again, this is not charity work. I'm in this to support my family and get paid, not to donate my wages, to the station. If they can't afford to pay employees for their work, they must have much bigger problems to deal with. |

I have found very few in TV news who were exempt status that really met the test of the law.
My shop is in transition, not sure what will happen with exempt status but new management was baffled to see some workers listed as exempt status, and other workers with the same job title and same duties hourly. The lawyers are sorting it out now.
