I saw on newsblues that there is a major WCBS TV news anchor overhaul. anyone have a clue on what's goin on there? |

and do you know why? they don't exist in the eyes of the nyc tv viewers...

good question isn't it?, got you really thinking...
there IS not master plan, ther ARE no top notch anchors
there.
there WERE. But that was years ago. And now a handful of "regulars" from across town with "new" faces (always a high risk factor) have been placed in anchor seats:
But here's the kick in the pants: NO ONE CARES!
That's a shame for the big apple.
New York One is way more recognizable and a housewhole word than wcbs.
Here's a test:
ask the next five people you see (any five) the following:
Who is the main anchor at ch 2?
Who does weather?
Who does sports?
Do they have an am show?
Who is on it?
The answers will tell the story.
As an old-time newpaper woman, it's very shocking and rather disturbing to me that a potential powerhouse (was in the 70's) is down the drain.
Why can't this be fixed? Is Viacom such an enormous giant of a company it will self destruct its television news programming altogether?
It's a nationwide problem.
