I used to work in that market. Not sure of anchor salaries anymore but I can tell you that WCSC is the king of news in Charleston and has been for decades. They have a solid staff and their viewers are extremely loyal to them.
WCIV also does very well and they have a solid product. You can't go wrong either way.
But I would stay away from WCBD if I were you. I interviewed their and the Production Manager was unbelievably horrible. When I turned down the position, he told me that he doubted I could get better. Turns out, I accepted a job in a #13 market instead. Judge Judy actually beats their evening newscasts! |

WCIV is the ABC hellhole of the market with far fewer bodies and a lower payscale than WCSC. There is no comparison in numbers, salary or quality. As for WCBD, they are a solid number two, chipping away at WCSC's market lead.
