I feel you need to be solid in all aspects, news, weather, and sports. There is NOT one station in this nation that cut its sports segment and is number one in the ratings. You don't get to be number one by dropping sports in some sort of "realignment" plan, that's a euphemism for our ratings stink, let's shake things up and start with sports. Not going to work, in my opiniom. If you are in any big pro or college market, if the local teams goes to the championship it becomes a news story, the whole city gets excited,that goes beyond just sports. Plus, do you have any idea how much cash pre-game shows bring in for a station?
