I'm a mid market reporter (60-45 market)-- have two months left on a contract, and an agent but no concrete leads.
Am I in panic mode yet?... would a jump to a top 30 market be a good career move? or a lateral move?
Or am I over reacting?

dont mean to sound snippy...but your post makes no sense. How is a top 30 jump a "lateral move"? Its sounds like its more than 20 markets bigger than where you are at. thats a step up genius. Of course it would be a good move. A lateral move...would be going from 60 to 55. Or 55 to 50.
