Those are the ones that are trying to eliminate sports... and most continue to slip in the ratings. If you're a successful business you have to be strong in all parts of your business. Same with TV. How can a station be #1 when one of your departments is weak ? |

M-F 1:15 @ 5:30
3:35 @ 6pm & 11pm
Sat. & Sun. 5:05 @ 6pm
6:35 @ 11pm
Plus a 2 minute segment that airs during the morning and noon shows during the week.
True. Sports is getting cut across the nation, but it will never go away.
In fact, you'll see sports departments get expanded. It's all cyclical.
At some point, after they've been cutting for a few years, some consultant will say, "Did you know that 30% of TV viewers are sports fans?"
"We should tap into that." Replied the news director.
