I don't see what people see in Art Franklin.I heard so much about him before he got on the air. Saw him a few times last week. He's stiff and cold, has a strange voice almost like a cartoon character... and is no spring chicken...looks really old on camera.
Lisa..his co-anchor talked about how big a tree was that fell on a car...he says" Yah..that's a big tree".
Let's face it..Nd's talk about a shortage of white male anchors..actually there's a shortage of good black male anchors out there.
Walt is so much better than Franklin. He's a better reader and he's more likeable. Okay Art was good on the assignment desk...but that's about it. Can't hold a candle to Walt or Wes in the anchor chair.
Of course if you're critical of a minority..you have to be a bigot right? I'm sure you folks will be hammering me with posts like that after my comments. The truth is hard to handle.

Just watched Franklin at six on Saturday. He has a a tough time with rrrrrr's.. he kind of slurs his words.
I can't understand him sometimes.
