I'm a mid market reporter (60-45 market)-- have two months left on a contract, and an agent but no concrete leads.
Am I in panic mode yet?... would a jump to a top 30 market be a good career move? or a lateral move?
Or am I over reacting?

i would go ahead and send my tapes every and everywhere if you really want to be a reporter. i was like you and only sent my tape to a tri state area close to home,etc... and didn't get an on air gig.
right now i'm an ap in a top 10 market and i love it, but it's really impossible for me to move up in the ranks to reporter..but i have a life here (fiancee,friends,etc..) now that i don't want to leave.. plus i'm older(25).
