... put in for them. I think everyone in this business knows that while traveling is cool, it also means a lot of work. They didn't send you on a vacation. they sent you to do a job. Unless you work for PBS, you work for a for-profit business. No charity work here, you deserve to be paid for the work you did. |

Travelling for work IS a privilege - and everyone in this business knows that long days are part of the job.
If you were dragged into a trip, and OT was discussed before hand, that's one thing. If you worked a seven-day week, that's another....but I would never expect someone to ask for OT while working on the road.
