everything posted here is scientifically objective? Nothing anybody writes in the Watercooler is subjective? You know the answers. Your own post is subjective.
I'll agree with you that just because someone writes John Doe is a nice guy doesn't mean you or I will perceive him that way. But, chances are pretty high that if I write convincingly that WAAA is a great place to work, there are some positive things about it. But, c'mon, I don't think a news director is going to post just to promote themselves. And who would write to kiss up to a news director when the people who write here are anonymous? I think a post like this can be useful because it can actually be educational; learning from others' experiences. |

I squared,
Come on..educational. So here??s the scenario. Somebody in market one million sees a bunch of posts about Chuck Roast the News Director in Lick it up, WV. All of the posts are positive. So the kid says..??Wow..I??m sending my tape & resume to Lick it up..because TV Spy posters say that guy Mr. Roast is genuine??
That??s horesh-- Now, this board can be educational when you see that a station like WGCL in Atlanta always contains negative posts and breaks the century mark in posts. That??s pretty objective..we know they??re bad. But, a good news director..too subjecttive.. kind of like how do want your poison.
