In Reply To: Good Morning Arizona is something that would be very hard to replicate elsewhere. Even in someplace as unpretentious as Seattle, I'm not sure it would work. It almost seems to be a Phoenix cult favorite. Dallas fancies itself to be much more sophisticated and would not accept such a morning show.
Message: I agree it would be very hard to replicate Good Morning Arizona elsewhere. Unless a station wanted to take a chance and just let the anchors & show be themselves. When this show originally started it was a family owned station, so they had the flexibility to do whatever they wanted on the air, and that worked, so it continues pretty much same way it was originally started with Jodie Applegate. Even during a anniversary show, Dan Davis had mentioned how he got his job on the show was just to keep showing up on the show, and they assumed he was part of the show.
