In Reply To: for a correspondent or producer going to a network bureau...make sure you first do a stretch in New York. A few weeks, a monthy, two months. It gives you an opportunity to work directly with the snior producers and EP. They get to know you. You get to know them. Most importantly, they develop a vested interest in your success. The relationships you establish then will pay real dividends when you get to the bureau.
Message: Nubby's got it right in many ways, if you're a general assignment person. Being under the NY microscope and lunching/dinnering it with the VP's EPs and other adults is damn good.
