turn down a job at as a network correspondent if you don't like the city? Are you really at the network level and concerned about how much exposure you'll get???
By the way, many of the bureau jobs are freelance, generally 100 days a year or so... Of course NY,DC crews work more... |

for a correspondent or producer going to a
network bureau...make sure you first do a stretch in New York. A few weeks, a monthy, two months. It gives you an opportunity to work directly with the snior producers and EP. They get to know you. You get to know them. Most importantly, they develop a vested interest in your success. The relationships you establish then will pay real dividends when you get to the bureau.
