I think that I've read something like
...The iNEWS system sucks because I don't know how to use it...
...The ENPS system sucks because I don't know how to use it...
...The ENPS system is great because I've used it and now I've gone to an iNEWS station and haven't been properly trained and my system administrator isn't very helpful....

Any system should provide quick response to your requests, ease of use and reuse of information, access to archive material and tools to get the job done.
If your system isn't doing that, then it is either incorrectly configured or you haven't been trained on the full use of functionality.
Let's face it, if you arrive at a new gig and your training is from the dude who sits on your left and takes less than 1 hour, then you haven't got a hope of using the system to its full potential.
This is a tool for your livelihood, get out the manual and read up on how to use it.
I know assignment desks that swear by iNEWS, I know producers that think ENPS is a gift from on high.
A bad workman blames the tools.
Remember that the next time you blame the newsroom computer system for your lame attempt at doing a good job.
