I just watched their abortion at 4pm. Wow, Lori Wilson??s just did a package on Dekalb-Peachtree Airport..which she called Peachtree-Dekalb. Anyway, the story was about how loud some of the planes were at the airport. You guessed it..no nat sound breaks..besides her track..the package was quite as a mouse.
And who??s the producer that let the Lake Lanier suicide story get on the air. We don??t do suicides in this business. Damn, this station is really bad.
Does Adam Murphy really talk like a circus barker? How do we know the dead rats outside of the dumpster have anything to do with that restaurant? Kind of presumptuous isn??t it?
Someone in the know tells me Cynee is pumping up her voice to sound deep when in fact in she sounds like a little girl??..looks like one anyway..lol.
Okay, I gave up my critique with 11 minutes to go in this newscast. I can only take so much abuse.

Boy, it sure is easy to criticize sitting on your backside..and NOT being in the newsroom, where the action really happens.
By the way, most people in this area DO call it "Peachtree-DeKalb Airport."
I KNOW..I'M A GEORGIA NATIVE. It's amazing how many "critics" aren't from Georgia and really know very little about local customs.
BY the way, that producer you mentioned told me that story was an honest mistake. We all make them. I'm sure you do, too. In fact, you probably make TONS of mistakes at your job.
But let me say this..that producer would run RINGS around you.
He's one of the few producers in this shop who actually stands up for what he believes and any station in this country would be glad to have him.
So the next time you decide to blast people who are busting their ass not only to put something on the air, but also to keep at least part of their journalistic integrity intact (with no help from RE or DW), get the facts straight before you hit the message boards.
Oh wait.. I forgot. If you are a journalist, that's part of your job description..post now, get the facts straight later.
