you are going to hear mostly negative feedback about wgcl and rick erbach's leadership qualities. he is not very hands on in the newsroom, but he has a lot on his plate..
he needs to hire three or more reporters, anchors, producers, etc.
the upside: he seems like a straight shooter, and has a lot of really good people around him dying to make a difference at that station.
so do listen to some of the naysayers about the place and him, but also realize he's trying to shake things up..
god knows that place needs it. |

The guy was given a golden opportunity in St. Louis and drove the news ratings into the cellar.
Blamed everyone else for his mistakes....fired good people out of spite.
He's no genius, only good at schmoozing and passing blame.
Yeah, I'm one of the negative ones, but if you're looking for advice, get everything in writing, keep low and document everything. Then have an escape clause, make tapes and use Atlanta as a stepping stone.
