Having worked with both iNews and ENPS, the iNews folder system is nice for things like contacts but for stacking and writing a show ENPS blows it out of the water. Keyboard shortcuts are a great thing with this program and you can see exactly how your show stacks out, customizing your rundown displays the way you want to see them. Adding breaks is as simple as a click of a mouse.
If you're afraid of being locked inside ENPS fullscreen mode, change your settings to run the program in a window. That single step got rid of many of my initial worries working with the program.
If you've got the choice, don't be afraid of ENPS... it'll save your neck in the end. |

I-News doesn't make you build graphics; yo9u can do your own gfx on ENPS (especially full-screens, OTS's, mugs, what have you.)
The big question with ENPS is .. how is it configured? Sure, INews is more primitive, but that means there are only a handful of ways you can set the thing up.
I worked in one shop where the main ENPS server was thousands of miles away closer to corporate. Now, that was a mess. Took forever to render anything. INews, however, is more stand-alone.
As for those complaining of lockups and slow searches on INews, the company can fix that. They just did with ours, and the "supersearch" function on INews is now a whole lot faster (but still inconvenient).
