There's an AP position to work on a style show that would be fun.
I'm an AP now hoping to be a reporter SOON.
I'm stuck in my job here, feeling unchallenged and ready to move on. I'm having a rough time finding reporter jobs and I know this AP job would be fun.
Should I take the job knowing I want to really report?
What would you all do?

I dont mean to be discouraging..but how long have you been looking for a reporter job?
Usually..if youve got the goods...you will be getting bites and a job within 3-5 months of looking for a reporter job. If you dont get any strong bites within the first few months of looking...it probably isnt going to happen, and I would go with the AP job.
Especially during the summer...youve got all the college grads coming out..looking for their first onair jobs...so the competition is great.
Ive known a few people from college, who spent a year or more, looking for an onair job..and I felt so bad... because I knew it just wasnt going to happen for them...and they should move on.
