Didn't hear Lauer's interview, but Imus doesn't have the constraints TV has.
He also is intelligent and interested, which is not a prerequisite to host morning television. That's why it cracks me up when people on this board put him down. He has better guests and far better exchanges than most anywhere else in morning tv or radio. Go ahead, listen to Howard or Diane or Katie and Matt. Imus is where you'll get the best stuff. And some junior high humor. |

You can see Matt's interview throughout the day on MSNBC. Don's questions were not sophmoric but simple, open-ended questions.
The interviews this morning with Brokaw and Russert were also very good.
