I'm sick and tired of reading threads from washed up old journalists complaining about young people starting out well. Look, this isn't 1960...young people have more talent these days than young people did 30 or 40 years ago. If this girl got a job in Miami straight out of college...more power to her. It's not like any one of us wouldn't have taken the opportunity. The game has changed folks. You don't have to start in market 200 anymore. So, put more effort into your own work and stop worrying so much about young people in the business. What, are you afraid one will take your job? I'm sure you are. Remember, experienced doesn't mean good. There are plenty of reporters and anchors out there with lots of experience, but still stink. And there are a lot of young people out there kicking ass!
