is based on a standard 10-hour day. We book our editors on a half day or full day basis. That ensures that we get the best editors in the market. So, if they're doing their full 10-hours, then we're paying $40 to $45 per hour. We're obviously paying more per hour if the project takes less than the 10-hour day. |

That's about right for a day rate.
And while "everyone is an Avid editor" isn't too far from the truth, not everyone is a GOOD Avid editor and there's clearly a difference. I don't expect the pay to change just because there are "more" editors. Good editors are always in demand.
