the "REAL" RayTings has no hyphen, and speaks the truth.
Since some envious wanna-be has started this thread, I can not sit by and let the imposters claims go unchecked.

i trashed keye for their Mon & Thurs BBQ Battle that runs @ 5&6PM through labor day.
the weather guy does wx live on location, he talks up the food & interviews the manager.
I see it as a 4min info-mercial for the BBQ joint.
on top of that, a contingent of BBQ places are sponsoring the segments. that equates to selling coverage (in my opinion)
viewers can vote for their fave BBQ on the stations website --but you have to give all but your SSN & credit card # to vote.
[YES i know, kvue.com makes 1st time users register--but aside from a compilation of basic demogrpahic data-- ie: age/sex/etc-- NO personal info ie:name, address, phone#, or email --is given or sold to anyone. the info is used soley to let advertisers know who they reach on the website.]
NOW back to bashing the BBQ battle...
in addition to the questionable ethics, it's just plain bad TV.
as for local management upates--
KEYE has hired an Asst News Director.
This comes after laying off their last A-N-D after they overpsent on their new set and had to CUT $$$. The new A-N-D is a woman who was News Director at the Trbune owned WB in San Diego, a shop that does just a 30min 10pm newscast.
KTBC/FOX-7 has hired a Niteside EP, a guy from KCEN in Waco.
