Yep, I thought it would go under back in the early days. I was wrong! Actually, it did go under but the cable industry by that time would not allow it. That's how Ted lost control and you have what you have today. But CNN is still the best between MSNBC and FOX in my opinion. Happy Birthday, guys. And here's to all the people that worked for minimum wage back in the day to make it go! (me included). |

I had the privilege of working briefly with Ed on his very last project, CNS (California News Service). CNS evaporated after his and Ken Chamberlain's untimely deaths. Every cable news operation owes a great debt to cable news pioneers like Ed, Ken, and the rest of the CNN gang. We will never see the likes of them EVER again. So, regardless of your political slant or affiliation, turn now towards Atlanta, and give a bow of respect and thanks!
