Just checked out the coverage from KVUE. Wow! Can't believe the Oasis had grown to 40 decks. One point of clarification...the Oasis was built and opened in the early '80's by Beau and his partner, Danny. The original structure had been used by LBJ and Sam Rayburn as a poker/hooker get-a-way for their DC cronies. Sorry to see so much destruction, but it's good to see Beau is still affiliated with the Oasis (his Brownstone restaurant in Houston was awesome). Thanks for the space to let me stroll back to the good ole days when Hippie Hollow was still Hippie Hollow. |
