...and I would never go back. Turned down three chances to get back in -- all of which would have paid 30-50% more than I make now -- but you can't trade getting your life back, working for reasonable people and not having your life put on hold for the night by some dope who is holding his family at gunpoint... |

in this business. It pays a little more than a regular job, but now that I have been out for a year I feel it would be awful to go back. Sure I'd make a little more money, but all those nights, weekends, unpredictable schedule changes disrupting my life all because of a shooting or stand off like OutOutOut said. All those things make the value of those extra dollars less valuable.
