In my church, last Sunday, the pastor delivered a stirring sermon on the refusal of Atlanta's black community to accept the conviction of Wayne Williams and the police's closing of 22 other of the missing and murdered cases. My pastor equated Wayne Williams to Nelson Mandela and his long, painful political imprisonment in South Africa.
Everywhere you go in the black community these day, people are talking about these cases and the need to re-open all of them. It's not going away, that's for sure. |

Here at WSB-TV, the word is that management has been ordered by Cox headquarters in Atlanta to stay clear of
the Wayne Williams/Missing-Murdered/reopening of cases story. Reportedly, Cox Tv President Andy Fisher doesn't want WSB to "stir the pot" again, digging into the exculpatory evidence angle. Fisher says let it rest. What a shame.
