I'm over the post production staff at a major cable network and the going pay for a seasoned Avid editor is $35-40 an hour...and that is a competitive number. If you can get 400-450 a day, more power to you. |

is based on a standard 10-hour day. We book our editors on a half day or full day basis. That ensures that we get the best editors in the market. So, if they're doing their full 10-hours, then we're paying $40 to $45 per hour. We're obviously paying more per hour if the project takes less than the 10-hour day.
