What's the scoop on this southern market? Decent news? Who does well and who doesn't? Good and bad places to work, etc. |

There are much better markets of this size. The Mobile stations are scanner driven, obsessed with car wrecks and crime. The talent is marginal. WEAR in Pensacola is the best shop in the market. WKRG caters to the "country" audience. WPMI has really weak reporters. Mobile as a city is a dump. People will tell you "it has great bars" but what city doesn't? And if that's the best thing you can say about a town, that whould tell you something.
