it's the same idea watchingandlaughing just posted, but that you disagreed with earlier.(although I'm not as complimenting)
You're a 'feature' that helps sell cable.
It's all about logistics... they're not in News8's favor, they're not supposed to be.
News8 does a good job with what they've got, you guys work hard, no one has said different, you guys break a story every once in a while, no one has said different.
but a 'significant' effect on Austin News coverage? I don't know about that one.
p.s. Why has News8 began carrying a load of national/world news in the past few years?

Has some good people working for them talent wise... please stop putting your Master Control and production folks on the air just to fill up time (Ex: Websightings Segment putting a kid on the air who has no business being on there just because you want someone young is just a bad decision and hurts your product. I wont even go into the segments with your political science guy (isnt he from the statesman?)
Overall 8 does a decent job but filling time with barely watchable stuff doesnt help much.
