Freemantle,
thank you for your considerate response.
I think a lot can be learned from what you said. I can guarantee that there will be no retaliation for there is no way of knowing who you are. plus you are trying to help so why retaliate?
i would ask you to be a bit more specific.
what is it that really concerns you? you are very broad and I want you to narrow it down to an example or two. you don't have to give names and you can change the subject a bit if you think it will give away your identity.
again, i appreciate what you have said and i can guarantee it will be discussed among the managers.
i am sorry it has taken a forum to get this addressed but we are serious at making ktrk a better place to work.
what ever it takes right? |

Especially Freemantle,
Thank you for the responses. I am not afraid to let people know what's going on at my station. I've brought up several concerns with management in the past, and they have fallen on deaf ears and the apparent retaliation has been either bad shifts or weak assignments with bad reporters. We are the people who keep the station together, but management does not want to acknowledge it.
Specifics, KTRKmanagerr? We've given you several over the past five or so years. Your post confirms what we in the field and in the newsroom say to each other but not to you --- you're not listening. Freemantle said it best --- we are a team. I love this station and would fight to the death for it, but it's difficult when I feel the managers won't fight for me or my colleagues.
I agree that this is not the forum to address the issues at hand. Managers, you know how to reach us. Do so and be considerate of our concerns. Instead of being managers, be leaders. In this day and age, there is a huge difference. I give you credit for stepping forward, but you have done so in the past only to turn your head and let the issue die. You have a tremendous opportunity to right a wrong and to make the staff fight for you and go above and beyond. Take advantage of this open window.
I never thought such a fourm would produce this result. I hope this was worth it, but I fear what's past is prologue. Please prove me wrong.
Let's go do what we do best!
